"The Sweet Release of Dempsey's Boot"

"The Sweet Release of Dempsey's Boot"

We've got time, we'll be on good rest, and we have about 7 fewer folks on yellows -- and if you get a chance, listen to Tim's interview on @ThePeel05 11/8 on their YouTube channel.

We have a great show this week -- it's longer than normal because we jam packed it with stuff you want to hear!

@CaseyCatherwood from @RainiersLand and @davewmontgomery from @SC_Trust talk with us about the 2-0 victory to seal our ticket to the next playoff stage, as well as getting deep into what's going on with the S2 @MoveToTacoma (see what I did there)

We also have audio from the official S2 to Tacoma presser @doylespub, where we speak with X @Woodards4Tacoma (now the Mayor Elect), Aaron Artman, President of the Rainiers, and (drumroll) Garth Lagerwey of YOUR Seattle Sounders FC.

Biggest Winger in the League

Biggest Winger in the League

Seattle's 0-0 victory in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals puts us in a confident, but precarious place. The full crew (yes, all of us!) take apart the match, speculate on Thursday's upcoming second leg, get vocal about the ejection of @weareecs leaders for displaying Anti-Fascist | Anti-Racist | Always Seattle, and tease a big announcement that is now common knowledge!

Come to @DoylesPub on Wednesday, November 1, or watch the LIVE STREAM on the brand new Flounders B-Team YouTube channel!

This Episode Brought to You By the Number 3

This Episode Brought to You By the Number 3

What a season it has been. Just 4 weeks ago @podfish was lamenting the end of our playoff hopes, and we were still wallowing in our double-digit unbeaten streak.

Somehow, he's done it. Brian Schmetzer has formed his Rave Green Army into something that at once looks like nothing we've ever seen, but feels so familiar. We feel unbeatable. We feel deserving. We feel like champions.

Steve and Tim rehash the week that was, and the win that propelled us to 2nd place in the West while placing us on the path toward glory. Can we do it again? Time will tell. Your support is needed.

US BOYCOTTS RUSSIA WORLD CUP

US BOYCOTTS RUSSIA WORLD CUP

The only rational explanation is that Clint Dempsey chose to lead his team in protest against the interference of Russia in the football world, and their lousy execution of Olympic ring displays in Sochi.

Seriously, this was a rough week, but we cover in depth diagnosis and treatment for the state of the USMNT. We briefly preview Colorado, but get more seriously into some playoff scenarios, assessing our chances of making it to December 9.

The Cup Never Bothered Us Anyway...

The Cup Never Bothered Us Anyway...

No. We're not going to talk about it this week. Logistics did not permit. However we *will* revel in the most decisive victories our boys in Red White & Blue have experienced in quite a while, and also talk with our upcoming opponents in Red White & Blue from South of the Mason-Dixon Line -- they weren't as exciting as Taylor Twellman's rant, but we'll take it.

Honestly, this might be our favorite supporter interview since we started this venture. Raney & Anthony Stryk talked with us as non-supporter-group supporters about the state of their team, expectations and hopes for the rest of their season, and a little bit of 4-0 reverie. These folks are knowledgeable and fun.

Anthony is also a contributor to Last Word on Soccer, so check him out there, and at @THEGlennCanyon on Twitter.

Don't Care How, I Want Goals Now!

Don't Care How, I Want Goals Now!

I want today, I want tomorrow, I want to wear RINGS like braids in my hair!!

And I don't want to share 'em! I want a party with room fulls of laughter, ten thousand tons of ice cream!

And if I don't get the things I am after I'm going to scream!

I want the works I want the whole works!

Headers and bikes and golazos and surprises! Of all shapes and sizes!

And now, DON'T CARE HOW I WANT IT NOW!!!

Seriously... Who's Gonna Score the Goals?

Seriously... Who's Gonna Score the Goals?

We're in a weird place right now. We have a great team that just isn't scoring -- by all other metrics (except red cards) we should be much more comfortable. That said, we're still in 3rd, and we know a lot about this team.

Unfortunately, so did Sigi. Galaxy was a challenge for us, and Dallas is making us nervous about the rest of the season... we should walk away with at least 10 points, but parity's gonna parit.

We dive into Lalas' USMNT rant after the last hex match, and look forward through the rest of the season and beyond. Who *is* the weakest link?

I believe that we will MEH!

We wouldn't be happy if we didn't have a mediocre team to support. Since the Sounders are in great shape, still first in the West, it's time to crap on US Soccer.

The B-Team covers the miserable USA v Costa Rica home appearance in beautiful New Jersey, and speculates on lineups and hope for USA v Honduras. Spoiler alert: defense was a garbage fire.

We preview the upcoming Galaxy match at the Clink 9/10, discuss Joevin Jones status, other possible international callups, and we sink our teeth into #suarezwatch.

Yeah. Sorry about that last one.

We also get a look in to Lincoln Abes Women's Soccer v Foss, offer a late invite to watch the match and save Nate a bunch of money on drinks in the process. Also, it got cancelled due to smoke.

Seriously, support high school athletics, and if you want to see Cat coach, come visit the Lincoln Bowl in beautiful Tacoma, Washington throughout the season.

The Little Fellow Rides The Dragon

The Little Fellow Rides The Dragon

We didn't get together for a show, but as it turns out we have a load of content for you. Steve has a quick 9 minute intro and hot-takes on the match. That's followed by Vancouver Away as celebrated @DoylesPub, with special guest Shannon Matthews!

We also took the Doyle's Booze Bus up to the Portland match. Before that, Tim got an interview with a Boise-based supporter, and on the bus got up to some shenanigans as well. He's Living on a Prayer.

At the match, Steve got another Portland supporter who has a bizarre take on Caleb Porter's status.

Stay locked in to the feed -- we have a full-audio re-cast of Steve & Tim's @Sonarfeed appearance on the very next episode!
