The Cup Never Bothered Us Anyway...

The Cup Never Bothered Us Anyway...

No. We're not going to talk about it this week. Logistics did not permit. However we *will* revel in the most decisive victories our boys in Red White & Blue have experienced in quite a while, and also talk with our upcoming opponents in Red White & Blue from South of the Mason-Dixon Line -- they weren't as exciting as Taylor Twellman's rant, but we'll take it.

Honestly, this might be our favorite supporter interview since we started this venture. Raney & Anthony Stryk talked with us as non-supporter-group supporters about the state of their team, expectations and hopes for the rest of their season, and a little bit of 4-0 reverie. These folks are knowledgeable and fun.

Anthony is also a contributor to Last Word on Soccer, so check him out there, and at @THEGlennCanyon on Twitter.

Don't Care How, I Want Goals Now!

Don't Care How, I Want Goals Now!

I want today, I want tomorrow, I want to wear RINGS like braids in my hair!!

And I don't want to share 'em! I want a party with room fulls of laughter, ten thousand tons of ice cream!

And if I don't get the things I am after I'm going to scream!

I want the works I want the whole works!

Headers and bikes and golazos and surprises! Of all shapes and sizes!

And now, DON'T CARE HOW I WANT IT NOW!!!

Seriously... Who's Gonna Score the Goals?

Seriously... Who's Gonna Score the Goals?

We're in a weird place right now. We have a great team that just isn't scoring -- by all other metrics (except red cards) we should be much more comfortable. That said, we're still in 3rd, and we know a lot about this team.

Unfortunately, so did Sigi. Galaxy was a challenge for us, and Dallas is making us nervous about the rest of the season... we should walk away with at least 10 points, but parity's gonna parit.

We dive into Lalas' USMNT rant after the last hex match, and look forward through the rest of the season and beyond. Who *is* the weakest link?

I believe that we will MEH!

We wouldn't be happy if we didn't have a mediocre team to support. Since the Sounders are in great shape, still first in the West, it's time to crap on US Soccer.

The B-Team covers the miserable USA v Costa Rica home appearance in beautiful New Jersey, and speculates on lineups and hope for USA v Honduras. Spoiler alert: defense was a garbage fire.

We preview the upcoming Galaxy match at the Clink 9/10, discuss Joevin Jones status, other possible international callups, and we sink our teeth into #suarezwatch.

Yeah. Sorry about that last one.

We also get a look in to Lincoln Abes Women's Soccer v Foss, offer a late invite to watch the match and save Nate a bunch of money on drinks in the process. Also, it got cancelled due to smoke.

Seriously, support high school athletics, and if you want to see Cat coach, come visit the Lincoln Bowl in beautiful Tacoma, Washington throughout the season.

The Little Fellow Rides The Dragon

The Little Fellow Rides The Dragon

We didn't get together for a show, but as it turns out we have a load of content for you. Steve has a quick 9 minute intro and hot-takes on the match. That's followed by Vancouver Away as celebrated @DoylesPub, with special guest Shannon Matthews!

We also took the Doyle's Booze Bus up to the Portland match. Before that, Tim got an interview with a Boise-based supporter, and on the bus got up to some shenanigans as well. He's Living on a Prayer.

At the match, Steve got another Portland supporter who has a bizarre take on Caleb Porter's status.

Stay locked in to the feed -- we have a full-audio re-cast of Steve & Tim's @Sonarfeed appearance on the very next episode!

BOBBY BOBBY WHAT'S THE SCORE

BOBBY BOBBY WHAT'S THE SCORE

7-0-2 doesn't lie. First Place in the West is also a pretty decent truth. We love truth here at Flounders B-Team, and this roster is The Truth. (Joevin Jones news notwithstanding.)

The crew minus Cat covers the Loons and does a quick preview of the midweek Vancouver match. We have an interview with Mike Pacific of TA fame (@atlanticPDX) on the State of the Rose City Union, and give our own quick takes on where we're headed on Sunday, as well as what we *LOVE TO HATE* about Portland. No Holds Barred.

Are You A Wizard?

Are You A Wizard?

Wizards & Loons, Kindling & Bonfire. In that order. We're 1/4 for the post-window run, and 6-0-2 in the last eight.

We don't need magic right now, we just need effort, organization, and man management.

We talk about the KC result, upcoming matches, and how we think the roster is shaping up. We reconcile against our earlier depth analysis, give some outlook for final season results, and recap a supporter event. We also have an interview with John Barden, a travelling KC supporter in the stands at the CLink!

Loon Hunt

Thanks to a convincing obliteration of the MNUFC defense, and 5-0-2 in the last seven, we're at a pivotal moment in the history of this club. As the transfer window closes, we have not made any major DP changes, but we still have made some interesting acquisitions.

Today, the crew covers the MNUFC match, discusses some defensive weaknesses, takes a deep-dive into roster construction and the anatomy of our attack flexibility, and speculates on how new gets will integrate into the team.

Discussons on SKC and the rest of our next three matches culminating in PDX @ home -- will we get 9/9 at home to lead us into the tail end of the season and a possible shield run?

Check out the ECSFC v TAFC supporters match August 26 at Starfire Sports in Tukwila. https://www.facebook.com/events/289236428150661??ti=ia
